Jodie Silverman, MPADirector of Special Projects
Jodie Silverman is currently a Director of Special Projects with Health Resources in Action, overseeing the development and execution of a variety of public health strategies with particular emphasis on policy and systems change approaches. She currently directs a multi-year policy initiative focused on implementation of community fluoridation via social marketing and community mobilization. Additionally, she directs development and marketing activities for HRiA, including fundraising and prospecting, as well as helping to position HRiA among funders, partners, and key stakeholders. Prior to assuming this post, she was the Director of HRiA’s Health Communication Services for over 8 years overseeing the development and implementation of public health campaigns in the areas of substance abuse, tobacco, sexual health, diabetes, and more. Ms. Silverman also spent 15 years in Washington, DC working for elected officials and national advocacy organizations in communications and public policy. She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Middlebury College and her master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University.
