January 28, 2010 - The Health Collaborative of Bexar County, Texas, an organization of the area's healthcare agencies, has awarded HRiA a one-year contract to conduct a comprehensive community assessment study of the greater San Antonio area.

The study will look at the area's overall health status, examine the shifting patterns on key health issues over time, and identify the community's strengths and resources as well as gaps in services in order to help The Health Collaborative and its partners set future funding and programming priorities.

To meet these goals, HRiA will engage a range of stakeholders and community partners throughout the study process, analyze epidemiological, economic, and demographic data of the area, and conduct numerous focus groups and interviews with community residents, health care providers, and staff from health and social service agencies.
