Rally Against Big Tobacco in Boston

February 26, 2010
Kick Butts Day, a world-wide day of youth activism against tobacco companies, is taking place locally at the State House in Boston on March 24 with some help from HRiA.

The 84 Movement, an anti-smoking program funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and managed by Health Resources in Action, is helping to turn out more than 200 activists from the movement’s 50 chapters across the state for the event. Participants will rally together as a movement, meet with decision makers, and explain the important work that they are doing in fighting the pervasive influence of the tobacco companies.

HRiA will be working with youth throughout the day, providing training, networking, and coordinating a march across the Common.
