March 31, 2010 - Though 2000 miles apart, Williamsburg, Virginia and El Paso, Texas are examples of communities leading the way in implementing innovative obesity prevention strategies in the home, schools, and communities. HRiA is evaluating the effectiveness of these multi-faceted efforts to support healthier eating and increased physical activity.

January 28, 2010 - The Health Collaborative of Bexar County, Texas, an organization of the area's healthcare agencies, has awarded HRiA a one-year contract to conduct a comprehensive community assessment study of the greater San Antonio area.

May 26, 2009 - The Paso del Norte Health Foundation in El Paso, Texas has awarded Health Resources in Action the first year of a potentially three-year evaluation grant to evaluate an innovative school health and physical activity program in the El Paso Independent School District (EPISD).
